Happy Birthday Jared
Today is my lovely husband’s 28th birthday! I wish him the best as he grows another year older and starts another trip around the sun.
I was thinking today about how much things have changed since we started dating in 2002. I remember going out to the movies with him for his 21st birthday thinking that he was old. Now, he is almost 30, and he is being roasted for his 10 year reunion from high school this year (that will be fun).
We went out to dinner with a lot of friends, and he got some lovely books to read (I’m looking to steal a few of them when he is done). He was so excited to get to take time off work to hang out with friends and enjoy all the good that has come to his life.
Happy Birthday Jared! I appreciate so much about what you do. I was looking at some photos recently, and this one stuck out to me.

I took this photo last month while we were trying to get ready for Sam and Linnea’s wedding. I had volunteered to make a little tutu dress for Daphne as her flower girl dress. Of course I waited until the last second to do it. Jared happily sat down with me and helped me alter my method to be faster (or it would have looked like this at the weddin).

Most importantly, he was willing to help me put together a tutu for our little girl. I am sure there were 10,000 other things he could have been doing, but he was happy to sit down and help me out in my time of need. I think that defines who he is as a person, a lot. He cares so much for other people. He loves to help others accomplish their goals. It hasn’t been easy around here, but it sure has been fun, and I thank him for that. Additionally, I’m happy that I was able to give him 2 beautiful children to play with whenever he wants. Check out the blue eyes he shares with his little girl.
