Halloween Fun

November3

I love that Daphne is getting old enough now that we can do fun projects during special occasions.  Halloween was the most fun holiday that we have had with her yet.  We got to have some fun doing traditional Halloween activities.

Sam and Linnea (the godparents) came over the night before Halloween and they helped with some pumpkin carving.

Daphne loved scooping the inners out of the pumpkin.

Daphne got some good scooping action too.

Linnea watched and got to hold the SuperCyprus.

Julie, Rebecca and I headed over to Grand Island to Heizer Pumpkin Patch on Halloween day.  Daphne got to wear her monkey costume.  There were lots of pumpkins.

Who is that cute little girl in that hole?

I found a beautiful white pumpkin to bring home.  By the way, isn’t Cyprus lovely as just a little head sticking out the the wrap.

Daphne got to hang out with her friends on the way.

Daphne got to search through the fields looking for the perfect pumpkin.

We all got completely lost in the corn maze.  After having no idea where we were and making our way out the same way we came in it turned out that we had only gone through about 1/10 of it.

We had an awful lot of fun watching the kids run around.

I went down a really fun slide.  Daphne said that it was too scary.  Can you see her little head at the top.

There were some other fun games for the kids.  Daphne contemplated turning from a monkey into a dog.

Look at those kids scrambling up that pyramid.

Daphne had fun riding around on the kid tractors.

After our little evening we all got together and had a lovely little potluck/Halloween party.  How nice it was to spend the holiday with family and friends.  I like that tradition.
