I had something else planned for the day, but I decided to do this shot instead. Our family took a trip home to the ranch where I grew up for Thanksgiving. After we ate, we took the kids out for a ride on the pony. I got this portrait in. It is a throwback to the days when I had access to a pony 24/7. We used to spend hours grooming and tacking up the ponies to ride them up the road to get the mail. Lucky are the kids that get such a pleasure.

This is my nephew’s pony, Rosita. We enjoy borrowing her while we are here.

I only brought my mini with me. My editing is limited because there isn’t a lot of real estate in Lightroom to see what you are doing with such a small screen. I also am living completely without Photoshop.
