Somehow, my sister and I decided to go for a long walk to get something from the store to get something to make pie crust. Even though it was blustery and cold, I agreed that a walk would be fun.

Boy was I wrong. Though there was nothing really wrong with the walk itself, it was cold and it was tiring. Daphne wasn’t prepared for such a long walk, so she got cold quickly. She started crying that she was cold and she was tired and that she wanted to go home.

After we made it into the store, she was happy, but the walk home was hell. My sister ended up carrying her most of the way home, and she was chilled to the bone.

I sat her down on the couch while I made her a cup of tea to drink and within a few moments she had fallen asleep sitting up. It was only 4pm, and I was worried that she would not sleep for the night if I did not wake her up.

I tried to wake her up, but it was not successful. She ended up staying asleep for the entire night!

I guess we really did wear her out eh?
