83/365 Get It Off
I have Angora rabbits that I keep for fiber. The rabbits are amazing. They weigh around 10 pounds, so they are pretty big animals, but when they have a few inches of hair on them, they look QUITE big.
I have to shave them every 90 days to harvest their fiber. They like to be shaved because it gets the hair out of the way, and it helps keep the bunnies nice and cool.
I finally got around to clipping my last bunny. I have 3 Angoras, and it can be daunting to try to clip them all in the same week. After putting it off for a while, I finally managed to get the last one clipped.
Angora is 7 times warmer than wool. The hair shaft is hallow inside, so it makes it the lightest fiber on the planet. This results in the fiber flying everywhere and getting all over me when I am clipping. It is almost impossible to pick it off of my face when I am in the middle of clipping, so I always end up being tickled from all angles.
I took this after I had completed the bunny. I was trying to get all the excess hair off my face. A shower finally did the trick.
