We got a new puppy in September, and Jared and I have talked since then about how nice it would be if Daphne and Targy slept together. It hasn’t always worked out so smoothly.

Targy usually goes in an interrupts her while she is sleeping in the evening before we all go to bed. Apparently, she wants to sleep and cuddle with Daphne, but she does not want to miss what we are doing in the rest of the house. Her solution is to go back and forth, which wakes Daphne up. This resulted in Daphne not even wanting Targy in with her when she sleeps, so we closed the door to prevent any possible interaction between the two.

However, things have recently started to smooth out, and Daphne is wanting Targy to sleep with her again. Targy usually goes in while bedtime stories are being read and finds a comfortable spot to lay on the bed with Daphne. Daphne is now starting to warm up to the idea, and she likes having someone to play with when she is supposed to be sleeping. I guess it has worked out for both of them!
