103/365 P is for Patience
I have been wanting to get my wheel into a photo for a long time, and I finally have managed to find an excuse. Unfortunately, I am not sure I like this photo. I took one photo and then went to bed for the night. The next day, I was feeling unhappy with the photo, so I actually took it again. This is the replacement photo. I KNOW I’m bending a rule here, but I just couldn’t display the other one.
I’ve been spinning for almost 2 years now! I like the hobby a lot for a lot of different reasons, but I love to be able to make my own yarns for the small knitting projects I like to keep in my life. Almost everything I have knitted for my son has been from yarn that I have spun myself.
I quite enjoy the process that takes me from raising rabbits to processing the wool to spinning the fiber and knitting it into a garment that gets worn every day. There is just something so romantic about the whole process for me.
It takes a lot of time and patience to do all of the steps to get to a final product, but I am finding that the more I spin, the more calculated I learn to become (in life and in crafting).
