109/365 V is for Vintage Sewing Machine
I have wanted a treadle sewing machine for quite some time, but the right one had not come into my life. I had been eying one at a local antique store, but something had stopped me from going to get it several times.
This past weekend, I got the idea into my head again, so I decided to do a bit more research and look for a machine that would suit my needs. Luckily, someone had listed the perfect machine on Craigslist, for only $100, and I snagged it right up.
This machine is BEAUTIFUL. Most treadle machines have been neglected for decades, and in many cases the machine and the cabinet are in a conditions that necessitates that they be restored. It was a stroke of luck that this machine had been maintained and loved by someone, so it is in perfect condition. The cabinet is gorgeous, and the machine works beautifully.
As soon as I get some accessory feet for it, I will be treadle sewing on my vintage sewing machine when I craft. What a lucky girl am I?
On a photographic note, I LOVE this picture! I believe that it could be my new favorite!
