I don’t recall Daphne going through a phase where she just wanted to sit and play with toys. I’m not saying it didn’t happen, I am just saying that it didn’t last long if it did happen.

Cyprus is the kind of baby that needs to be put down on the ground so that he can play with toys by himself. Every night while I make dinner and get everyone ready for bed, Cyprus gets the Lego box out and starts to play around in it. He has been able to keep himself entertained for a long period of time (occasionally up to an hour). When he is in his sit and play alone mode, he will even get grumpy if I try to interrupt or redirect him.

This photo reminds me of all the times he had just sat by himself playing with toys.

I adore this photo because it was taken with the natural end-of-day sunlight as it streamed in through the window.

It is especially cute to note that he is not wearing a diaper!
