I saw a photo in a magazine a while ago that I tore out and swore I was going to use as a 365 photo inspiration.

I finally got tired of looking at it on my desk the other day, and I decided to give it a try with some logistical help from my husband. Big surprise, it was disappointing.

I find that when a photo is a direct copy and doesn’t have any of its own inspiration, it doesn’t turn out well.

I hated every photo that came off the camera except for this one. The flash didn’t fire, and I love what happened. The ghostly effect really causes quite a shock with the crazy hair I have going on.

Some of the best inventions in history were accidents, and in that same light, this photo was made.
